LNG Plant Expansion
Project Description
By upgrading this utility plant’s cryogenic and vaporization infrastructure and installing a 12-mile OHP pipeline, we were able to expand the capabilities of the LNG Facility. These new assets supply gas to a capacity constrained area during days of peak demand.
The LNG project team leveraged LCS’ knowledge of value engineering on gas main routes and then adopted our unique approach to route segmentation to enhance budgeting, constructability review, community outreach planning, detailed design, and traffic control. By integrating a “challenge meeting” the team was able to identify pinch points and synergies, resulting in enhanced constructability and a route length reduction of 0.5 miles. The LCS methodologies reduced estimated completion costs by a forecasted $15M.
Project Highlights
Project increases the gas sendout pressure and volume from an existing LNG facility and delivers the gas to where it is most needed.
The project significantly improves the client’s gas supply on the coldest days and removes Delivery Point Entitlement constraints.
