Gas Pipeline De-Rate

Project Description

This project involved performing an in-place pressure test for two pipelines totaling 21 miles, as well as making modifications to three gas regulator stations to accommodate a new MAOP.

The team had to perform and document a pressure test at ~640 psig to establish the new MAOP of 425 psig on the 21 miles of pipeline that feed a regional client. Modifications include redesigning and rebuilding regulators, meters, heaters, odorizers, and installing a prefabbed building. Resulting from this project, the regional gas utility now has complete, traceable, and verifiable MAOP documentation for the pipelines.
